Very fond memories of Max and the Wheeler family from the nineties when we were neighbours in rural Chain Hills Road, Mosgiel. It was a fun time, somewhat chaotic, with kids, horses, bikes, chickens and rabbits all in the mix.. Add to that the a common love of sports that was always present with Max. I have distinct memories of the tennis battles at his place on summer weekends. I never had the better of Max - he was a very good sportsman. Pleased to have caught up with Max a year or two ago on the Gold Coast to reminisce the good days we had. Max was a good man to have as a friend. Condolences to Karen and the Wheeler family. Carson
We are sad to have missed Max's remembrance service today. We did manage to follow some of it online. We were very sad to hear about it's unexpected passing. I, personally have lots of memories of our time together during our flatting days when we taught Max how to boil and egg and playing cricket in Max's Men's Shoes in Dunedin. Our thoughts are with the family.
